Jake Rowe is an experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist with 22 years experience. For the last 17 years Jake has had a special interest in working with shoulder injuries and overhead athletes. He has a keen interest in understanding all of the complex biomechanical and physiological factors that can cause shoulder pain and dysfunction. He has lectured in this area to other physiotherapists and doctors as part of his work with the University of Bath.
Appointments
Initial assessments are booked for one hour to allow time for a detailed history and examination to be taken of your shoulder and related areas. During this session you will receive a clinical diagnosis, advice on likely contributing factors and a treatment/management plan.
Digital dynamometry (muscle strength testing) and video are used to aid assessment and provide objective outcome measures.
The shoulder is a complex joint and requires a detailed assessment to fully understand all of the reasons why a person may be feeling weakness, pain or restriction with their shoulder movements.
